My husband and I don't have a whole lot in common. We have different likes and dislikes. Different hobbies and interests and for the most part different tastes in television shows. We are both really busy with work and with the kids it can be hard to find time to spend with each other.
There are a few television shows that we are both in love with and one of them is How I Met Your Mother. It is a never-miss show for us and our fall back entertainment when we are hanging out in the bedroom. Not only do we make sure to never miss an episode when the season is on, but we are constant watchers of the previous seasons.
My husband and I reference the show a lot. We are *kinda* obsessed. The humor of the show is SO our humor and one of my favourite things about the show is Robin being Canadian. The stereotypical Canadian-isms are too funny for me. We like to laugh at ourselves and How I Met Your Mother takes it and runs with it. It is not a main focus of the show - which is also good - but the episodes that talk about her being Canadian always stick with me. Hoser Hut, Allan Thicke, Robin's accent, Barney making fun of Robin being Canadian... jokes that span through all the seasons. Loved seeing my beloved Tim Hortons in the Duel Citizenship Episode.

The season ended with an exciting hint that Lilly and Marshal were deciding to have children. We know from a flash-forward in this season (The Last Cigarette Forever) that they at least have one child - a son. I can not wait for the season to begin again! We are obsessed and I really look forward to that steady 30 minute date every Monday night with my husband!
