Best For Babes Debuts A First Of It's Kind Breastfeeding Ad

Have you heard of Best For Babes Foundation? If not you need to get yourself acquainted!  I first learned of them back in February 2010 and since then I have been supporting them and you might have noticed their ad in the sidebar.

Best for Babes Foundation Credo:

ALL moms deserve to make a truly informed feeding decision and to be cheered on, coached and celebrated without pressure, judgment or guilt.

ALL breastfeeding moms deserve full institutional and cultural support to achieve their personal breastfeeding goals.

Last week Best For Babes Foundation released an advertisement in USA Today which is the first of it's kind highlighting and raising awareness of the WHO-Code International Code of Marketing of Breast-milk Substitutes.

What do I love about this advertisement and Best for Babes Foundation?  They don't use any scare tactics. None.  According to co-founder Bettina Forbes,

Most moms want to breastfeed, and don’t realize how they are being undermined by the very institutions that should be helping them.  Whether they breastfeed for 2 weeks, 2 months, 2 years or not at all, they deserve to achieve their personal goals. We’re clearing through the information clutter–much of it misleading–and are showing them how to succeed and who they can trust, much like a personal trainer or nutritionist would for someone who wants to get fit.

For more information on Best for Babes and their new advertisement visit their Website, Facebook page, Twitter account.
